Why We Created QueerAsiaGuide
Finding safe, inclusive LGBTQ+ spaces and essential health services shouldn't be difficult—but it often is. When we tried to discover gay-friendly bars, clubs, and especially STI testing centers across Asia, we encountered a frustrating reality: information was scattered, outdated, or simply didn't exist.
Health resources were particularly challenging to find. Many LGBTQ+ individuals need to know where they can access confidential HIV and STI testing, but this critical information was buried in forums, hidden in Facebook groups, or passed along by word of mouth. This lack of accessible information put people's health and safety at risk.
That's why we built QueerAsiaGuide—to create a comprehensive, easy-to-use platform where the LGBTQ+ community and allies can find verified information about safe spaces, nightlife venues, and essential health services across Asia, all in one place.
